About College

Kazi Nazrul Islam Mahavidyalaya, Churulia was established to promote the higher education in this region. The college was named after Kabi Nazrul, a rebel poet in the history of Bengali literature and Churulia is the birth place of this famous poet. The aim of the college is to provide quality education and ideal environment to develop mental, Physical, social and spiritual level. It is a private aided college and offers undergraduate courses in Arts, commerce and Science stream. The college is well equipped with all modern facilities.

The College is affiliated to the University of Burdwan. This University was started in 1960 with Sukumar Sen as its first Vice-chancellor. It occupies an exalted place amongst the universities of West Bengal. It has been awarded with 4 star statuses by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) to acknowledge the contribution of Burdwan University in the educational development of the state.
