About College

The College is a Grant-in-aid College and has been recognized under section 2(f) and 12 (B) of the UGC in 1989. The College is affiliated to the University of Burdwan. 

The College offers undergraduate programmes in Bengali, English, Sanskrit, Political Science, Philosophy, Economics, and History at general course whereas Honours courses are offered in Bengali, History, English, Political Science and Sanskrit. In B.Com, Honours in Accountancy and General Courses are taught. The teaching in Environmental Science as compulsory subject was introduced in 2001. The College runs three self-financing courses in Political Science, History and Sanskrit at Honours level.
