About College

Khatra Adibasi Mahavidyalaya, Khatra was established to promote the higher education in this rural region. The aim of the college is to provide students with the knowledge and skills they need in this era of information and teaching.  It is a private aided college and offers undergraduate courses in Arts and commerce stream. The college is well equipped with all modern facilities.

The College is affiliated to the University of Burdwan. This University was started in 1960 with Sukumar Sen as its first Vice-chancellor. It occupies an exalted place amongst the universities of West Bengal. It has been awarded with 4 star statuses by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) to acknowledge the contribution of Burdwan University in the educational development of the state.
