About College

Mahishadal Girls' College (MGC), Mahishadal was established in 1969. Mahishadal Girls’ College is the only women’s college in the district of Purba Medinipur, West Bengal. The college is affiliated to Vidyasagar University and it has been accredited at 'B' level by NAAC. Their vision is to make Mahishadal Girls' College a centre of quality learning. The mission of the institute is to impart higher education among the women folk of the locality, to provide traditional, modern and vocational education for the women masses and make students self- sufficient and self-reliant.

The main aim of the college is to impart higher education among the girl students of them locality. The objectives are to develop integrated and elegant personality with sound mind and healthy body, to create sweet habit, sense of discipline and punctuality among students and to provide both material and moral training which is very essential to create an ideal and responsible citizen.
