Malout Institute of Management & Information Technology, Malout is the first Institute of Management set-up by the Government of Punjab and also first Institute of Information Technology in the northern belt of India.

It has come up as a result of the far sighted approach of great visionary and an architect of modern Punjab, the honorable Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal. Under his dynamic and growth oriented leadership, the Govt. of Punjab decided to open an autonomous institute of Management and Information Technology under a single umbrella.
