About College

Parimal Mitra Smriti Mahavidyalaya (PMSM), Jalpaiguri was established in 1985. The college has delivered the need for higher education to a vast section of the under-privileged society through the unquestioned commitment of teachers. The college is situated about 3 kms. from the sprawling suburb of Malbazar, on the bank of the Mal river.  The college provides a unique educational environment in its campus. The college offers under graduate courses in discipline of Arts and commerce. The college has state-of-the-art technologies and infrastructure.

The college is affiliated to North Bengal University, established in 1962 with a goal to disseminate knowledge to fulfill growing socio-economic and technical manpower needs in the six North Bengal districts and the neighboring state of Sikkim. This is a state university situated near Siliguri in Darjeeling district. This was the first university in the region. The University has played a pioneering role since inception in spreading higher education.
