About College

PIET is another jewel added to the royal crown of the city of gardens, Patiala, which has always remained a hub of academic, cultural, literary, philosophical and social education. This institute is an attempt to add to the brilliance of this glorious city as far as the field of engineering and technology is concerned. PIET is gradually emerging as the epitome of technical education in Malwa region in general and Patiala, in particular. It is the first engineering college of the region meant exclusively for women.

The institute is affiliated to PTU, Jalandhar and is duly approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, Ministry of Human Resource.

This institute is the result of incessant efforts of great visionaries and luminaries from the field of academics like S. Surjit Singh Chowdhary, who is the Chairman of Dukhniwaran Educational and Social Welfare Society, Patiala, the promoter of PIET. This institute is the fruition of his dream of establishing a group of institutes dedicated to the task of satisfying the quest for knowledge of young minds.

Right in their first academic session through their excellent results, our students have proved that they are capable of achieving their goals with ease. This is evident from its result of first semester where 72% students amongst the first divisions have scored more than 70% marks
