As has already been said, the incessant guest for knowledge and scope for still higher education, accomplished success. The brain child of the area took its birth in the shape of Pendrani Mahavidyalaya in Aug. 1984 running in Ex-Board U.P.School, Gandhi Chowck withits office at N.A.C, Umerkote Conference Hall. Subsequently the classes was taken at the then E.T School, Gulipatna till 1987 when it got its own Tin - sheet thatched building. 

The college got recognition and affiliation for +2 Arts stream from the academic session 1985. Requirement for degree, Commerce and science education was met in 1989, 1994 and 2003 respectively with 64 seats in each with as increasing in the members of feeding High school and pass out students, the sanctioned strength in all streams has been enhanced to 192 in +2 Arts, 160 in +3 Arts with History & Pol. Science Honours, 128 in +2 Commerce , 64 in +3 Commerce, and the sanctioned strength of +2 Science remain same, additional building has been constructed for class room, library, laboratory, office and hostel. The college is now running its 29th year with the same objective of bringing higher education to the door step at an affordable cost. It has acquired the repute of the 2nd biggest college of the district with students bagging position in E.H.S.E Exam.
