Pritilata Mahila Mahavidyalaya(PMM), Nadia is a private and affiliated college. The college was started for the development of the local students to fulfill the need of qualified person in the region. The college offers value-based higher education to the local people.  The primary goal of the Institution is to contribute to the public interest by providing high quality education through various academic programmes that shape students into socially committed citizen. It offers the courses in discipline of Arts. The college draws its academic strength from its competent faculties and well-equipped Infrastructure.

The college comes under the University of Kalyani, established in 1960 with a campus area of over 400 acres in Kalyani town. It caters mostly to the students of rural and back ward areas. The university is presently offering 23 post graduate programmes under four faculties. The University has introduced a wide range of curricular options to train the students in different fields of specialization through teaching, Research. The University is a member of association of Indian Universities (AIU), Association commonwealth Universities (ACU).
