About College

Siliguri College of Commerce(SCC), Siliguri was established in 1962 just a year after the establishment of the University of North Bengal. It started its onward journey with just a handful of students with a   missionary look of bringing commerce studies to the aspirants living in this part of West Bengal. The college has made a distinctive mark in the academic and co-academic curricula with all potentials of a centre of excellence. It is now a   premier institution based on perfect attainment of students in university examinations over the years. The College has national linkage with the Indian Commerce Association (New Delhi) and international linkage with the International Agency for ISBN (Berlin). Moreover, the College has a fully computerized (with multiple tele facilities) UGC Network Resource Centre. The college has state-of-the-art technologies and infrastructure.

The college is affiliated to North Bengal University, established in 1962 with a goal to disseminate knowledge to fulfill growing socio-economic and technical manpower needs in the six North Bengal districts and the neighboring state of Sikkim. This is a state university situated near Siliguri in Darjeeling district. The University was established by Act of the Legislature of West Bengal in 1962.
