Siliguri Mahila Mahavidyalaya

Siliguri Mahila Mahavidyalaya (SMM), Siliguri was established in 1981. This is a renowned college in this region. The college is recognized by UGC under 2(f) & 12(b). The objective of the institution is the dissemination of knowledge in tune with the academic prescriptions of the University through imparting formal and informal education intended to develop creativity, critical thinking and social commitment. The college offers under graduate courses in Arts Stream. The college has state-of-the-art technologies and infrastructure.

 

The college is affiliated to North Bengal University, established in 1962 with a goal to disseminate knowledge to fulfill growing socio-economic and technical manpower needs in the six North Bengal districts and the neighboring state of Sikkim. This is a state university situated near Siliguri in Darjeeling district. The University was established by Act of the Legislature of West Bengal in 1962.
