Semiliguda College is the biggest leading aided college in the district, it has been spreading its academic cultural fervour throughout the length and breadth of the state thouands of students from the tribal belt have found thier true identity through this college. Apart from its academic achievements, it has laid milestones in nurturning cultural well being of the area. Both students and teachers of the college have carved a riche in their respective fields. Often they have won laurels by displaying their creative talent. Still there lies before the staff and students, the Herculean task of lifting the college to a unusual hight through a collective endeavour. 

Semiliguda College was established in a time when higher education was the foremost necessity. The majestic vision of a few dynamic minds was specifically important for a tribal dominated region like Koraput. The college is indebted to them. From its initial period of struggle in late 80s (eighties) to this day, the college has remained firm in its endeavour to fulfil its prime objective.
