About College

Sitananda College (SC), Purba Medinipur was established in 1960. The college is affiliated to Vidyasagar University. The motto of this institution is “WIDENING THE HORIZONS”. As an institution of higher education, feel that their task is to make the pupils move towards an ever-increasing sphere of knowledge. This is reflected in teaching and overall activities of the institution. It fastens enthusiasm in every youth of its call to understand them, to acquire the qualities of true leadership with democratic attitude and to develop a sense of social and civic responsibilities.

The aim of the institute is to create awareness, conviction and commitment of the students to social and moral values for improving the quality of life through education and impart education with up-to-date knowledge of test developments within all fields of human activities and to the refinements, enhancements and increase of application of such knowledge to the moral and material progress of man.
