About College

Sonada Degree College (SDC), Sonada was established in 1985. This is a fully Government aided, co- education college and recognized by UGC under u/s 12(B) and 2(f). The college is proving higher education and also promotes social, cultural and moral values with a view to uplift the status of personal and professional life. The excellent infrastructure of the campus generates an ideal ambiance for studies. The college offers Degree Courses in Arts to the youths from surrounding areas of Sonada, Kurseong and Ghoom Jorebungalow. The college is well equipped with all modern facilities.

The college is affiliated to North Bengal University, established in 1962 with a goal to disseminate knowledge to fulfill growing socio-economic and technical manpower needs in the six North Bengal districts and the neighboring state of Sikkim. This is a state university situated near Siliguri in Darjeeling district. The University was established by Act of the Legislature of West Bengal in 1962.
