Sonamukhi College is the light house of higher education in the district of Bankura (W.B.), showing the way to the zenith of fulfillment in the vast, wide ocean of socio-economic backwardness of the district. This n academic institute was established in the year 1966 with the support of some noble souls of land who thought of spreading higher education to the first generation learners of the area dispelling the darkness of ignorance and superstitions from the minds of the learners.
