Sree Ramakrishna Sarada Siksha Mandir, Hooghly was founded by The Anur Jana Siksha Samsad (A Registered Educational Society). It is an affiliated and private aided college. The college was established to promote education in this area. The college is providing the needs of higher and quality education of the local people. The curriculum is designed by the Boards of Studies of Burdwan University.

The College is affiliated to the University of Burdwan. This University was started in 1960 with Sukumar Sen as its first Vice-chancellor. It occupies an exalted place amongst the universities of West Bengal. It has been awarded with 4 star status by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) to acknowledge the contribution of Burdwan University in the educational development of the state. The jurisdiction of the university spreads across five districts of West Bengal - Burdwan, Hooghly (excluding Serampore Subdivision), Bankura, Birbhum and Purulia, nourishing more than 100 colleges.
