About College

Subarnarekha Mahavidyalaya(SM), Paschim Medinipur was established in 1988. It is an affiliated and private college. The college was started to promote higher education in this region. The objective of the college is to provide excellence in education at the undergraduate level to the students of all communities and especially to the financially backward students in the rural area of the state. The college has well experienced teachers to enlighten the aspiring students. The college offers under graduate course in Arts, Commerce and science Stream. The college has state-of-the-art technologies and infrastructure.

The college is affiliated to Vidyasagar University, established in 1981 and named after one of the most illustrious sons of Bengal as well as one of the doyens of Indian Renaissance; Pandit Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar. This is a renowned University in West Bengal with accreditation of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
