Sukumar Sengupta Mahavidyalaya, Paschim Medinipur was established in 2004.The college is affiliation by Vidyasagar University. Sahid Kshudiram Centre for Education and Development, a registered Society commited to the cause of uplifting the rural mass, spearheaded the noble movement of setting up a college in such locality predominently inhabited by socially and economically disadvantaged population comprising S.C., S.T. and Minority people.

The College Campus is at a stones throw from Keshpur Bazar. It spans across six (6) acres of land. The whole area is surrounded by a lofty wall.
