S.D. Memorial B.P.Ed College adorned a new feather to Panchthupi's history. From ancient times Panchthupi is being a historical place. It is said that there were five stupas of Buddhism, that caused it is named 'Panch-thupi' Our college is situated at the centre of 'Panchthupi'.Our college is smoothly connected with all around places.

In the west it is connected with Bolpur just 30 K.M. away and 43 K.M. from Berhampore in the east as well. Nagar is 20 K.M. in the north. Salar and Burdwan are respectively way from 20 K.M. and 42 K.M. in the south
