About College

Triveni Debi Bhalotia College, Raniganj,  was established in 1957. The college is  affiliated to Burdwan University and recongized by the UGC.The college was established to promote higher education in Raniganj and near by areas. The college is providing the needs of higher and quality education of the local people. The curriculum is designed by the Boards of Studies of Burdwan University.  A variety of teaching and learning techniques are employed to impart knowledge and skills to the students of the college.The college offers one vocational course in Sericulture.

This University was started in 1960 with Sukumar Sen as its first Vice-chancellor. It occupies an exalted place amongst the universities of West Bengal. It has been awarded with 4 star status by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) to acknowledge the contribution of Burdwan University in the educational development of the state. The jurisdiction of the university spreads across five districts of West Bengal - Burdwan, Hooghly (excluding Serampore Subdivision), Bankura, Birbhum and Purulia, nourishing more than 100 colleges.
