Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design

Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) 2019, will be conducted by Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay on January 19. UCEED 2019 is conducted for the undergraduate, Bachelor of Design admissions, which is an online exam. The institute has released the application form on October 9, 2018, and it can be filled till November 14, 2018. Initially, the last date for registration was November 16. With the late fee, students can fill the application form from till 16, 2018. Before filling the UCEED application form, candidates must check if they fulfil the eligibility criteria. The UCEED admit will be released on January 1, 2019. Candidates can download it by using their login credentials. The provisional answer key will be released post exam on January 25 and objections could be raised till January 31. The UCEED result will be declared on March 1, 2019.

The candidates who will qualify UCEED 2019, can apply to IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, IITDM Jabalpur campuses for admissions. UCEED 2019, will be open to all nationals, Indian or Foreign. UCEED, 2019, will be a national level exam and will be conducted once a year. UCEED 2019 have nearly 105 seats in total. UCEED 2019 exam duration will be of three hours and the medium of the exam will be English.

UCEED 2021 Exam Pattern

The exam pattern of UCEED 2019 mentions the total number of questions which the candidates will have to answer in different sections, the marking scheme, the medium in which the exam will be conducted and the type of questions that will be asked.

  • There will be ONE question paper for 3 hours duration.
  • The question paper will be in English.
  • The question paper will be administered through a computer-based test.
  • The question paper will carry a total of 300 marks.
  • The question paper will consist of 3 sections.

Section A: 
Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions

  • For these questions, an answer is a number that needs to be entered using a virtual keyboard on the computer screen.
  • No choices will be shown for these questions.

Section B: 
Multiple Select Questions (MSQ)

  • Each MSQ has one or more correct answer(s) out of the four given choices. 

Section C:
Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)

  • Each MCQ has four choices out of which only one is the correct answer.

Note: For the first two section, there is no negative mark, for the last Section MCQ, the candidates will loss one marks for every incorrect answer.
