Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University ( TNDALU )

The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University was established by the Government of Tamil Nadu by an Act of State Legislature. It was formally inaugurated by the then president of India Thiru K.R. Narayanan in 1997. The University started functioning immediately after the inauguration. The main objectives behind the establishment of this law university were to impart quality legal education and to promote the knowledge of law among masses.

Since its inception, the University has been striving towards improving the communal harmony and to achieve the goal of egalitarian society through legal literacy programmes.

The Law University is also opting to promote the skills of advocacy among the law students and research scholars so as to serve the society with a sense of responsibility while providing legal services, making legislation and suggesting law reforms.

Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University ( TNDALU ) Law Entrance Examination Application Procedure- 2014

The candidates can get the application form for Admission by submitting a demand draft drawn on or after 12.05.2014 [For 5 Year B.A.,B.L. [ Hons. ] and 5 Year B.Com., B.L. [ Hons. ] Degree Courses] and on or after 26.05.2014 [For 3 Year B.L. [ Hons. ] Degree Course] in favour of

“The Registrar,

The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University”,

Payable at Chennai, from any of the Nationalized Banks.

Candidates who intend to receive the application through POST should send a requisition letter along with a demand draft.

Application Fee :

For 5 Year B.A.,B.L. [ Hons.], 5 Year B.COM., B.L.[ Hons. ] & 3 Year B.L. [ Hons. ] Degree Courses

By Person :

For General Candidates: Rs. 1000

For Sc / ST: Rs . 500

By Post:

For General Candidates: Rs. 1,100

For SC / ST : Rs .600

Application form has been designed to suit the Optical Mark Reader ( OMR ) system. “Instructions to candidates for filling the Application Form” issued along with the application. Filled in application form should be submitted along with the following certificates duly attested:

For 5 Year B.A.,B.L. [ Hons. ] & 5 Year B.Com., B.L.[ Hons.] Degree Courses

i. Copy of the S.S.L.C./Matriculation Mark Statement or other evidence for Date of Birth.

ii. Copy of the H.Sc. Mark Statement OR equivalent exam and Transfer Certificate.

iii. Copy of the Permanent Community Certificate [ for ST, SC ( Arunthathiar ), SC ( Others ), MBC / DNC, BC ( Muslim & BC ( Others ) ].

iv. Copy of the First Graduation Certificate, if applicable.

v. Copy of the Permanent Residence Certificate.

vi. Copy of the Special Category Reservation Certificate.

vii. Window cover with postage stamp of Rs. 5/- affixed.

For 3 Year B.L. [ Hons. ] Degree Course

i. Copy of the S.S.L.C. / Matriculation Mark Statement or other evidence for Date of Birth.

ii. Copy of the qualifying Degree Mark Statement OR equivalent along with the copy of Provisional / Degree Certificate.
