Eligibility Criteria for Indian Institute of Management ( IIM ) Raipur MBA Entrance Exam – 2015

For Post Graduate Program ( PGP ) Course:

The Eligibility for the admission in the IIM Raipur MBA course is given below.

The candidates will be eligible only if they have attended CAT Examination

Candidates will be short listed for the Personal Appearance ( PA ) process

PA process will be conducted which include Written Analysis Test ( WAT ) and Personal Interview ( PI )

Preparing the admission list is based on CAT score, WAT & PI score and Profile score as indicated in following tables

Criteria for Short listing for PA ( WAT& PI ) process

The CAT 2014 percentile will be used for short listing candidates for WAT and PI. The tentative category-wise minimum percentile is as follows:

Minimum CAT 2014 Percentile for the PGP Batch of 2015-2017

The Eligibility criteria for the admissions will be based on the above examinations including 10th Standard, 12th Standard, and Under Graduation marks obtained.

For Fellow Programme in Management ( FPM )

IIM Raipur’s doctoral programme aims to admit individuals with exceptional academic background, strong motivation and discipline, and potential to become excellent researchers at international level.

It is expected that research scholars will come from a variety of disciplines ranging from social sciences and humanities to physical sciences and engineering.

Applicants are evaluated on their past academic achievements, motivation and preparation for the programme, letters of recommendation, scores on standard tests, and a personal interview with the faculty.

Qualifications:

Candidates must possess one of the following qualifications to apply for IIM Raipur’s doctoral programme in any one of the following

Master’s degree in any discipline, with at least 55 % marks or equivalent grade point average

Or

Professional qualifications like CA, ICWA or CS with at least 55 % marks or equivalent grade point average.

Or

Five year / four year Integrated Master’s degree programme in any discipline, with at least 55 % marks, obtained after completing higher secondary schooling ( 10+2 ) or equivalent.

Or

4 years / 8 semester bachelor’s degree ( B.E. / B.Tech. ) with at least 60 % marks or equivalent grade point average

Those in their final year of Masters or Bachelor’s degree ( B.E / B. Tech ) in any discipline can also apply. Such candidates have to complete the requirements for the course before the specified date and produce the original certificates / mark sheets within stipulated time.

Age Limit

Candidate must not be more than 55 years as on June 1st 2015.

Qualifying Examination Scores:

Candidates who have appeared / or appearing for the CAT / GRE / GMAT / GATE / UGC-JRF ( two years from the date of the standard test and should be valid on the deadline of submission of the application form ) will be shortlisted on the basis of the details in the application form and the scores of tests as detailed below.

Only the shortlisted candidates will then be called for interviews on 7th & 8th April, 2015 at IIM Raipur Campus.

Business Policy & Strategy: CAT / GRE / GMAT / GATE / UGC-JRF ( in relevant discipline )

Finance and Accounting: CAT / GRE / GMAT / GATE / UGC-JRF ( in relevant discipline )Economics & Business Environment: CAT / GRE / GMAT / GATE / UGC-JRF ( in relevant discipline )

Information Technology & System: CAT / GRE / GMAT / GATE / UGC-JRF ( in relevant discipline )

Marketing: CAT / GRE / GMAT / GATE / UGC-JRF ( in relevant discipline )

Operations Management: CAT / GRE / GMAT / GATE / UGC-JRF ( in relevant discipline )

Organizational Behavior and HRM: CAT / GRE / GMAT / GATE / UGC-JRF ( in relevant discipline )

Candidates residing outside India could choose to take any of the above tests ( depending on the area to which they are applying ) or appear for GMAT. The doctoral programme accepts test scores that have been taken in the last two years.

Candidates with PGP from IIMs are exempted from above mentioned tests. However, the candidates must have completed PGP in last 10 years with a minimum grade point equivalent to 6.5 out of 10 scales, with no Fs & not more than two Ds in the 1st year of PGP.

Note: Once a candidate takes admission in a given area, she / he will have to pursue the doctoral work in that area.

For Executive Fellow Programme in Management ( EFPM )

IIM Raipur’s EFPM aims to admit individuals with exceptional academic background, strong motivation to do research.

Since this program is exclusively for the professionals with industrial experience, it is expected that research scholars will work towards developing a methodology, understanding and providing solutions for real life management problems, apart from developing a theoretical framework.

Applicants are evaluated on their past academic achievements, motivation and preparation for the programme, letters of recommendation, scores on standard tests, and a personal interview with the faculty.

The candidates applying for IIM Raipur’s EFPM programme must have one of the following qualifications obtained from any of the universities incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of parliament or declared to be deemed as a university under section of 3 of UGC Act 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD Government of India, or an equivalent qualification from an Institution approved by AICTE.

A Master’s degree in any discipline, with at least 55 percent aggregate marks or equivalent grade point average

Or

A PGP / EPGP / PGPWE from IIMs with minimum grade point equivalent to 6.0 out of 10 point scale ( with no ‘F’s and not more than two ‘D’s in the first year of PGP )

Or

A Professional qualification like CA, ICWA, CS with at least 55 percent aggregate marks or equivalent grade point average

Or

A Five year / four year Integrated Master’s degree programme in any discipline, with at least 55 percent aggregate marks, obtained after completing higher secondary schooling ( 10+2 ) or equivalent

Or

A Four Years / Eight Semester bachelor’s degree ( B.E. / B. Tech. ) with at least 60 percent aggregate marks or equivalent grade point average.

Work experience: Minimum 7 years of managerial / entrepreneurial / professional experience as on June 1st, 2015 after graduation. The programme is open to all nationalities.

Age should not be more than 55 years as on June 1st, 2015.

For Post Graduate Programme in Management for Working Executive ( PGPWE ):

Candidates must fulfill the below criteria’s

A Bachelor's Degree with minimum aggregate marks of 50% for general; 47% for NC-OBC; 45% for SC / ST / DAP or its equivalent in any discipline duly recognized by UGC / AIU

Minimum 5 years of managerial / entrepreneurial / professional experience after graduation. The programme is open to all nationalities.

Age should not be more than 50 years as on June 1, 2015
