Regional Cancer Centre ( RCC ) Superspeciality Entrance Examination

The Regional Cancer Centre ( RCC ), Thiruvananthapuram, was established in 1981 by the Government of Kerala and Government of India.We are a comprehensive cancer centre catering to the population of the State of Kerala and the adjoining parts of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

From a modest beginning, the Regional Cancer Centre has evolved into an internationally recognized centre for conducting a wide range of cancer research and providing state-of-the-art facilities for cancer diagnosis, treatment, palliation and rehabilitation.

Applications are invited for admission to the following Post Graduate Super specialty courses such as M.Ch Surgical Oncology, DM Medical Oncology, DM Pediatric Oncology  via an entrance exam for the academic year 2015-16 commencing on 01st May 2015 at the Regional Cancer Centre, Thiruvananthapuram. For  Super Speciality Courses

Merit List For RCC SET-2015:

  1. The Director, Regional Cancer Centre will prepare and publish the Select List and Wait list of Candidates.
  2. The select list of General Merit candidates will be based on the marks obtained in the entrance examination ( Part I, II and III  ) based on the total scores obtained out of a maximum of 150 marks which will be derived by adding 120 marks (MCQ), 20 marks (Viva) and 10 marks ( prior academic achievement )
  3. The Select List and Wait Lists published will be valid till 30thSeptember 2015.

Resolution of Tie:

If more than one candidate obtains equal marks in the Entrance Examination ( Written Test + Interview ), tie will be resolved as follows:

  1. Candidate with higher marks in MCQ paper will be ranked higher.
  2. If the tie still persists, the older candidate will be given preference.
  3. If the tie still persists the candidate with lesser attempts at MS / MD / DNB will be given preference.
  4. If the tie still persists the final MBBS marks will be considered and the candidate with the higher marks will be given preference.
