International Mathematical Olympiad ( IMO ) Entrance Examination

The Science Olympiad Foundation, ( SOF ) is an educational foundation and a non-profit organization, based at New Delhi ( India ), which promotes Science, Mathematics in India and other places like Singapore, Oman, Qatar, Nepal, Bahrain, Sri Lanka, U.A.E. and Durban. Every year, it organizes Olympiads in each of these places, namely the International Mathematics Olympiad ( IMO ) .In the IMO( International Mathematics Olympiad) is a means to identify and encourage the mathematical creativity of children in schools across India and abroad. The students from classes 1 - 12 are eligible for appearing in it. The format of both levels is the same. Section – 1:

Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning.

Section – 2:

Knowing our Numbers, Whole Numbers, Playing with Numbers, Basic Geometrical Ideas, Understanding Elementary Shapes, Integers, Fractions, Decimals, Data Handling, Mensuration, Algebra, Ratio And Proportion, Symmetry, Practical Geometry

Section – 3:

The Syllabus of this section will be based on the syllabus of Mathematical Reasoning.

Section – 4: Higher Order Thinking Questions - Syllabus as per Section – 2.
