Central Reserve Police Force CRPF

The Central Reserve Police Forcealso known as CRPF is the largest of India's Central Armed Police Forces. It functions under the aegis of Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) of the Government of India. The CRPF's primary role lies in assisting the State/Union Territories in police operations to maintain law and order and contain insurgency. It came into existence as the Crown Representative's Police on 27 July 1939. After Indian Independence, it became the Central Reserve Police Force on enactment of the CRPF Act on 28 December 1949.

Besides Law and Order and counter-insurgency duties, the role of CRPF in the General Elections, held repeatedly during the past few years, has been very significant and vital. This is especially true for the trouble-ridden states of J&K, Bihar and in the North East. During the Parliamentary elections of September 1999, the CRPF played a major role in the security arrangements. Of late, CRPF contingents are also being deployed in UN missions.

Constable (General Duty) Recruitment â€“ 2013 :

Central Reserve Police Force, (CRPF) invites applications for recruitment of Constable (General Duty) for male in CAPFs i.e is BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP & SSB. CRPF is going to fill up 2272 posts through this job notification.

Important Dates:

Date of Registration: 27-May-2013 to 01-Jun-2013.

Number of vacancies : There are total of 2272 vacancies.

Eligibility Criteria :

Educational Qualification :

Candidates must have passed Matriculation examination or its equivalent from a board or university recognized by the central or state Government.

Age Limit : Should be in between 18-23 years of age as on 01-01-2013.

Age Relaxation: SC/ST- 5 years, OBC- 3 years.

Application Form :

Application form will be submitted by the candidates direct to the Board at recruitment centre in prescribed format. The candidate applying should ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility conditions for the post. Their admission at all the stages of the examination will be purely provisional, subject to their satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. If on verification, at any time before or after the written test and medical examination, it is found that they do not fulfill any of the eligibility condition, their candidature for the examination will be cancelled by the board.

Application Fee : No application fee from any candidate will be charged.

How to Apply :

The recruitment will be conducted by special rally system at identified Districts of LWE State at the respective places/location. Candidates are required to report to the recruitment centre with a duly filled application form. The application should be typewritten or neatly hand written on one side of foolscap A4 size plain paper. Application should be accompanied by photocopies of following documents: â€

i. Two recent passport size photographs (One should be pasted on the application form. The other photograph will bear name and signature of the candidate on the reverse).

ii. Copies of Matriculation certificate as proof of educational qualification and date of birth.

iii. A valid â€œDomicile Certificateâ€ issued by the competent authority so authorized by the concerned State.

iv. Any other certificate in support of additional qualification.

v. Those candidates who wish to claim relaxation on the basis of caste should produce relevant documents as per Appendixâ€â€œB&Câ€ in support thereof, viz.caste certificate in respect of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC from a revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar. OBC candidate will also submit a certificate of competent authority whether he is in the creamy layer of OBC category or not.

vi. Those candidates who wish to claim relaxation under the Exâ€servicemen category should produce documents in support thereof.

vii. Candidate should also bring original documents with the min addition to attested copies and should be produced on demand.
