Calcutta Institute of Engineering and Management (CIEM), Kolkata was established in 2003 by a Society also known as C.I.E.M. The Society was established in 2000 and registered in the same year. The Institute has been approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to West Bengal University of Technology. 

The Institute was being with an aim to develop a center for excellence by some eminent academicians, social workers and most importantly the Government of West Bengal. This is well-disciplined Technical Institution, where the relationship between the Students and the Administration is very cordial and effective for the healthy growth of Education.
