About College

The Institute of Engineering & Management (IEM), is a privately funded technical and management school located in the state of West Bengal, India. It was founded in 1989 and is thus the oldest private engineering school in the province.[citation needed] In its early years, it was operated under University of Kalyani.Since 2001-2002 academic session, its affiliating body has changed to West Bengal University of Technology.

IEM possesses decentralized academic campuses. Three of the academic campuses and an administrative unit are located in Salt Lake Electronics Complex (Bidhan Nagar), Sector-V, Salt Lake City. Another campus is in Barasat, greater Calcutta. It has a separate accommodation facility for the students.
