About College

MCKV Institute of Engineering was established in the year 1999 as the first self financing degree level engineering college in Howrah District, with approval of All India Council for Technical Education AICTE and the Government of West Bengal. 

The institute started with three branches of engineering, namely Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) and Information Technology (IT). In keeping with the guiding philosophy of creating highly trained manpower in the emerging areas of technology, a degree course in Automobile Engineering was introduced in the year 2003.
