Joint Entrance Examination ( JEE Main )

The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India and Central Board of Secondary education (CBSE), New Delhi introduced the national level common entrance exam called Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) conducted for admission to various engineering colleges in India. JEE Main examination was being conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) till 2018. From 2019 onwards, the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main is going to be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).JEE will be conducted by NTA twice a year for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programmers in NIT's, IIIT's and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions.

The Joint Entrance Exam will be conducted in two parts, JEE Main and JEE Advanced. JEE (Main) replaces the AIEEE entrance exam and JEE (Advanced) replaced the IIT-JEE entrance exam. Around 25220 seats Engineering and Architecture seats are filled every year on the basis of JEE Main Score.

The aim of the common entrance test has been mooted to reduce stress on students, who have to appear for multiple entrance examinations and to give greater relevance to the school education, especially the class 12 board examinations.

JEE Main 2021 Preparation Tips

JEE Main 2019 Preparation Tips:

  1. You should plan accordingly when solving the question paper. For calculations, you should use short methods instead of solving the sum with irrelevant steps.
  2. Practice as many you can before the examination with proper guidance.
  3. You should practice on a regular basis and should not take the help of a calculator.
  4. You should be clear about the concepts and formulas.
  5. You should also concentrate on accuracy and speed to get success.
  6. You should solve easy questions at first then move on to the tougher questions.

Important points to be noted for online examinations

  1. You should follow a sequence when completing the questions.
  2. You should also practice a lot of mock tests for good preparation.
  3.  During preparation, you should try to cover numerous topics and try to click on the correct option in the examination pertaining to different subjects as as Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

Important tips on examination day

  1. You should reach 30 minutes prior to the examination centre.
  2. Do not forget to bring your admit card at the examination centre.
  3. You should complete those questions at first about which you are pretty confident and try to avoid those which you are not confident about.
  4. Do the easier ones at first and then do the tougher ones.
