Forest Research Institute, Dehradun has invited applications from interested candidates for postgraduate level programmes offered by it for the academic session set to commence in 2018. Aspirants who meet the eligibility criteria set by Forest Research Institute (FRI) can apply for admission in Master of Science (MSc) programmes offered by the university in Forestry, Environment Management, Wood Science & Technology as well as Cellulose & Paper Technology.

Aspirants can fill the application form for Forest Research Institute admission online or offline. In order to secure admission in courses offered at FRI candidates need to appear for an entrance exam conducted by the institute. Aspirants are shortlisted for admission on the basis of their performance in FRI admission test.

FRI 2021 Eligibility - Education Qualification

M.sc. Branch wise Eligibility:

For M.Sc. Forestry: 3 years Bachelor’s degree in Science with at least one subject studied in Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Maths, Physics, Zoology and Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or Forestry.

For M.Sc. Wood Science and Technology: B.Sc. degree in Forestry, 3 year’s Bachelor’s degree with Physics, Maths and Chemistry.

For M.Sc. Environment Management: 3 year’s Bachelor degree in any branch of Basic or Applied Science or Bachelor’s degree in Forestry or Agriculture or B.E/B. tech in Environment Science.

For M.Sc. Cellulose and Paper Technology: 3 year’s Bachelor degree in science with Chemistry as one of the subjects or B.E/B. Tech. (Chemical or Mechanical engineering).
