Eligibility Criteria:

Physical Standards:

 Soldier forms the major component of the Central Police Forces (CPFs).  The working of the Force mainly depends on the capability and effectiveness of the pers at this level.  It is very imp that pers having the right aptitude, capability and fit in all respects are appointed as recruit in Central “Police Forces”. Rect is an imp process and it is necy to lay down certain policy guidelines enumerated hereunder to deal with eligibility conditions and the sys to be followed while conducting recruitment in CPFs.

Details of physical stds required for enrolment in Assam Rifles is given at Appx ‘C’. The CPMF has been making remarkable contribution in promoting sports in the country. CPMF sports pers have brought glory to their respective Forces by their excellent performance in various intl events. A scheme has been revised for recruitment of young sports pers in the CPMFs who has played at Sub-Junior, National School and Inter University levels, for recruitment in Gp ’C’ posts

Educational / Technical Qualification :

Educational / technical qualification required for enrolment in Assam Rifles is given at Appx ‘D’.  In the events of any doubt arising regarding correctness of the educational / technical qual cert, the candidates can be selected provisionally, subject to his cert being authentic after verification.

Medical :   

Cut of Date for Age. The cut of date for all rallies being held will be 1st Aug of the every yr in which rally is being held, i.e. all the candidates should be between 18 years and 23, 26 and 28 yrs for group ‘C’ incl tdn for Gen, OBC and SC / ST cat respectively (Auth:- MHA letter No.I.45023/6/2008-pers.ll dt 23rd Jun 2009 and MHA UD No II-27011/26/2009-Pt II dt 29 Oct 2009.)

Non Entitled Pers. Fwg cat of pers are NOT entitled to be enrolled into the Force:-

a)      Gorkhas of Nepal origin

b)      Foreigners.

c)       Pers legally prosecuted or undergoing imprisonment.
