Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Details of physical tests with timings and QRs are given in succeeding paras. A candidate has to pass in all the physical tests.

5 KM Run :   All male candidates have to successfully complete 5 KM run within 24 mins and for female candidates it shall be 1.6 KM (1600 M) within 8 mins 30 secs.

Long Jump : Long Jump of 11 feet has to be cleared by the male candidates and for female candidates it shall be 9 feet. Each candidate will be given three chances.

High Jump : High jump of three and a half feet (3.5 feet) has to be cleared by the male candidates while for female candidates it will be three feet.  Each candidate will be given three chances.

Note: No physical efficiency test will be conducted for Ex-servicemen.

Written Tests

Candidates who qualify in the physical test will be required to appear in written test.

Candidates who qualify in the PETs will be required to appear in a written test. The written test will consist of only OMR based objective type multiple choice questions to be answered using a ball pen. A question paper should be of 100 marks and it will comprise of at least 100 questions. There may be different sets of question papers but consisting same questions in different order. The question paper will be generated at the rally site by the presiding offer from a question bank guided by software immediate prior to conduct of written tests.

Question Bank will b e maintained by Record Branch.  Soft copy of question papers set for a particular rally will be opened by the Presiding Officer on the date of written exam after getting password from Col Records on telephone/mobile.

Candidates applying under compassionate appt scheme of the Government will not  be required to appear in the written test. Compassionate appt scheme encompasses AR pers who have laid down their life during ops. Sons/ legally adopted son during the lifetime of the deceased will be entitled to the scheme after approval from the DGAR. However, there is a need to fulfill the laid down Qualitative Required (QR) for the enrolment.

Setting of Papers

Question papers will be set to assess the gen awareness / gen knowledge of elementary mathematics, ability to observe and distinguish patterns and to test the basic knowledge of the candidates in English / Hindi. The papers will be bilingual with option to answer either in Hindi or English for written test and typing test.

Candidates declared temp unfit on medical grnds at the rally site will be permitted to appear for the written test and trade test as applicable.  However, their final selection will be subjected to clearance by the final / appeal medical board at ARTC & S.

Max and qualifying marks for written test are as under:-

(a)       Rfn / GD

      (b)       Tradesman

A practical test will be conducted for tdn candidates appearing for enrolment. Result of practical test will be reflected as PASS / FAIL in recruitment board proceedings.

Religious Teacher (JCO)

1.       A written test of 100 marks will be held for candidates for RT JCO.

2.       The paper for them will be sent by ARTC & S which may include the following:-

(a)Question related to co-ord of religious activities.

(b)Questions related to various religions in gen.

(c)Questions related to Vedic and ancient history.

(d)Questions related to astrology, auspicious hour and architecture / crafts.

(e)Question related to various epics of the religion of tps major for which they are likely to be enrolled.

(f)Questions related to Raj dharma and Sainya Dharma.

(g)Questions related to Gen Knowledge.

  3.  A practical test will invariable be held for the candidates appearing for enrolment as RT. Result of practical test will be reflected as PASS / FAIL in rect bd proceedings.  The practical test will be conducted to check knowledge of an individual in the following aspects:-

(a)Prep of Yagya Mandap

(b)To perform the Shanti Yagya

(c)Various types of hawan, muttering hymns (Jap) and Hawan’s mtrls

(d)Performance of daily worship / prayers

(e)To examine the Mahurta and Auspicious (Lagna) hour

(f)Knowledge Pravachan (Preach) and Bhajans

Staff Nurse :

 A practical test like for tdn will also be conducted for Staff Nurse under the guidance of Med Br, HQ DGAR.

To qualify, the candidates will have to pass in the physical, medical and the written tests separately. A merit list of qualified candidates will be drawn to select successful candidates depending on the number of vacancies.

Recruitment rally for direct recruitment of Sub and Nb / Sub in all categories (as applicable in the PE) will be done under the arrangements of HQ DGAR (Records Br). Application will be invited on all India basis. After screening of all applications eligible candidates are to issue call letters. Date and place of rally will be intimated after obtaining approval of ADGAR / DGAR.

OMR Answer Sheets: Candidates will be required to answer in OMR sheet, which should be signed both by candidate and invigilator. The candidates may be allowed to take carbon copy of the answer sheet. Answer key to the question paper will be posted on website and displayed on the notice board after written examination is completed.

Vacancy will be related to nominated recruitment author of the Central Police Force by respective Director General for carrying out Recruitment of candidates out of the States earmarked.
