UPSC 2017 Civil Service Exam is the gateway to All India Services like Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Forest Service (IFS) and 22 other Central Services. The UPSC IAS Prelim 2017 exam is going to conduct on 18th June 2017 and IAS Main Exam will be held on 28th October 2017 (Tentatively). The IAS stands for Indian Administrator Service. The purpose of this recruitment is to select the best suitable candidate for the Indian Administration Unit who will give their contribution in serving the country. It is the national level platform which elects the exam i.e. civil services examination, Engineering service examination, naval academy examination, Officers’ training academy examination and combined defense services examination. Its official website is www.upsc.gov.in. Union Public Service Commission has released the Indian Civil Services notification 2017. Total 980 vacancies are announced by the UPSC this year. CSE 2021 Exam Pattern

UPSC Preliminary Exam Pattern:

  1. The Prelims Exam will comprise of two papers:
    1. General Studies 2. Civil Service Aptitude Test (CSAT)
  2. All the question in both the papers will be multiple type.
  3. The question papers will be set both in English and Hindi.
  4. The Prelims Exam will be held for 2 hour time duration.
  5. The Paper-II of Prelims Exam is qualifying in nature and candidates need to secure minimum qualifying marks of 33 %.
  6. There will be negative marking for incorrect answers. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, one-third of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.
