            Jawaharlal Institute Of Post Graduate Medical Education & Research, popularly known as JIPMER 2019is an institute of national importance under Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. It is one of the medical entrance of highest importance in India. The JIPMER MBBS 2019 exam will be conducted on 2nd June 2019. JIPMER 2019is a computer-based online entrance test conducted for MBBS programme, across various cities, enlisted in the official site. There are two college campuses of JIPMER, one in Pondicherry and other in Karaikal. JIPMER has two campuses - the main campus is located in Pondicherry; the other campus is at Karaikal. There are a total of 200 seats under JIPMER 2019 UG exam - 150 seats at the Pondicherry campus and 50 seats at the Karaikal campus.

            Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Pondicherry (JIPMER) under Government of India since the year 1956, is one of the leading Medical Institutions of India, whereas JIPMER has started its JIPMER Karaikal, from the academic session 2016-17 with a yearly intake of 50 students. There are no seats available through AIPMT/NEET or AIIMS to get into JIPMER. One needs to clear JIPMER 2019only for this. The entrance examination is held once a year in June in Pondicherry, Chennai, Vijayawada, Hyderabad, Delhi, Kolkata, Thiruvananthapuram and other metropolitan cities for admission to the MBBS course that commences from July of the same year.

JIPMER 2019 Application Process :

Candidates can download the JIPMER 2019 prospectus to check the complete guidelines to fill the application form.

  • JIPMER application form 2019 will be accepted only through online mode.
  • The online registration will be opened from 6th March 2019.
  • The application form can be filled and submitted till 12th April 2019.
  • Candidates should fill all the details carefully in the application form. No modification will be allowed in later stage.
  • Candidates have to upload the photograph and signature in the prescribed format by the authority.
  • Take a printout of the filled-in application form along with the confirmation page after the final submission of application fee.

Applications are generally rejected in the following situations:

  1. Candidates who fail to fulfil the prescribed age limit for admission.
  2. Candidates who fail to obtain the minimum stipulated marks in the qualifying examination (Higher Secondary or + 2)
  3. Candidates who have applied under Non-Creamy Layer OBC Category and whose sub-caste NOT listed in the current Central OBC List and who’s Certificate has NOT been submitted in the prescribed format from the Competent Authority.
  4. The candidates who have applied under SC / ST Categories WITHOUT valid Certificate as in the prescribed format from the Competent Authority.
  5. The Candidates who have applied under PUDUCHERRY status with NO valid proof.
  6. Non-submission of OCI Registration Certificate issued by Competent Authority.
