Jawaharlal Institute Of Post Graduate Medical Education & Research, popularly known as JIPMER 2019is an institute of national importance under Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. It is one of the medical entrance of highest importance in India. The JIPMER MBBS 2019 exam will be conducted on 2^nd June 2019. JIPMER 2019is a computer-based online entrance test conducted for MBBS programme, across various cities, enlisted in the official site. There are two college campuses of JIPMER, one in Pondicherry and other in Karaikal. JIPMER has two campuses - the main campus is located in Pondicherry; the other campus is at Karaikal. There are a total of 200 seats under JIPMER 2019 UG exam - 150 seats at the Pondicherry campus and 50 seats at the Karaikal campus.

Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Pondicherry (JIPMER) under Government of India since the year 1956, is one of the leading Medical Institutions of India, whereas JIPMER has started its JIPMER Karaikal, from the academic session 2016-17 with a yearly intake of 50 students. There are no seats available through AIPMT/NEET or AIIMS to get into JIPMER. One needs to clear JIPMER 2019only for this. The entrance examination is held once a year in June in Pondicherry, Chennai, Vijayawada, Hyderabad, Delhi, Kolkata, Thiruvananthapuram and other metropolitan cities for admission to the MBBS course that commences from July of the same year.

JIPMER MBBS Counselling 2018 will initiate in the month of June 2018. The counselling of JIPMER MBBS 2018 will take place as per the merit list of JIPMER MBBS 2018. The merit list of successful applicants will be published on the official website www.jipmer.edu.in. Applicants are suggested to regularly visit the website to stay updated with the new developments regarding the counselling of JIPMER MBBS 2018.

JIPMER MBBS 2018 counselling process

Applicants who are appear for the counselling of the JIPMER MBBS 2018 need to attend the image verification and biometric finger print. In this verification process the finger print and image will be matched with the applicant, if any scope of mismatch occurs then the applicant will not be allowed to appear for the counselling of JIPMER MBBS 2018. The applicants will be called based on merit list of MBBS 2018 for counselling. The applicants who have been selected for the counselling and intimated for the same will have to attend the counselling and medical exam at the decided location on the notified date on their own cost, university will not pay or reimburse the amount of money spent.

Then seat allotment will be done in a specific sequence. Firstly all general category seat will be allotted then OBC, SC, ST, Puducherry OBC, SC, ST will be allotted as per the applicant’s eligibility.The successful applicants will have to submit original documents like mark sheets of the last appeared exam and proof of age, transfer certificate, Character Certificate etc.
