            Jawaharlal Institute Of Post Graduate Medical Education & Research, popularly known as JIPMER 2019is an institute of national importance under Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. It is one of the medical entrance of highest importance in India. The JIPMER MBBS 2019 exam will be conducted on 2nd June 2019. JIPMER 2019is a computer-based online entrance test conducted for MBBS programme, across various cities, enlisted in the official site. There are two college campuses of JIPMER, one in Pondicherry and other in Karaikal. JIPMER has two campuses - the main campus is located in Pondicherry; the other campus is at Karaikal. There are a total of 200 seats under JIPMER 2019 UG exam - 150 seats at the Pondicherry campus and 50 seats at the Karaikal campus.

            Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Pondicherry (JIPMER) under Government of India since the year 1956, is one of the leading Medical Institutions of India, whereas JIPMER has started its JIPMER Karaikal, from the academic session 2016-17 with a yearly intake of 50 students. There are no seats available through AIPMT/NEET or AIIMS to get into JIPMER. One needs to clear JIPMER 2019only for this. The entrance examination is held once a year in June in Pondicherry, Chennai, Vijayawada, Hyderabad, Delhi, Kolkata, Thiruvananthapuram and other metropolitan cities for admission to the MBBS course that commences from July of the same year. 

JIPMER 2021 Eligibility Criteria

JIPMER 2019 Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicants whose result will not be released when JIPMER application form 2019 is made available can fill the form considering they fulfill the eligibility criteria of JIPMER 2019 like age limit, nationality, and academic requirements. However, they will be only considered eligible once the result of Class 12 is declared
  •  Candidates whose result of Class 12 has not been declared must also note that the issuance of admit card to them will not confirm that they are considered eligible by the authorities. JIPMER MBBS is a national level entrance exam which will be held on June 2, 2019. JIPMER  result 2019 will be tentatively declared in the second week of June.
  • The medical entrance exam is conducted for admission to MBBS courses offered at JIPMER, Pondicherry and JIPMER, Karaikal campuses. Candidates will be applying to 200 seats available through JIPMER 2019. JIPMER application form 2019 will be released on March 6

No upper age limit has been conditioned for JIPMER MBBS 2019.

Minimum Marks Required

Categories: OBC/SC/ST/PWD- 50% and UR-60% for PCB subjects only.

Nationality

As per the JIPMER eligibility criteria 2019, a candidate must be an Indian citizen/Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)/National Residents of India (NRI). OCI and NRI candidates are required to upload the necessary documents while filling the application form. Furthermore, these candidates will be considered for only ‘unreserved’ category seats.

Age Limit

Candidates applying for JIPMER MBBS must be at least 17 years of age on or before December 31, 2019. As per the JIPMER eligibility criteria 2019, there is no upper age limit for the entrance exam. It must be noted that there will be no relaxation in lower age limit given to any candidate under any circumstances, irrespective of his/her category.

 Academic Requirements

 Aspirants of JIPMER MBBS must pass the qualifying examination meaning Class 12 examination or an equivalent examination after 12 years of study. Candidates must have Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology in the last two years of study and English as a core subject. OCI/NRI candidates who have not completed Class 12 from the country will be required to submit an Eligibility Certificate from Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi.

 It is mandatory to score a minimum of 60% (50% for reserved categories and PwD candidates) in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology in aggregate while candidates must also ensure that they have passed in Physics, Biology/Biotechnology, Chemistry, and English individually to be considered eligible for JIPMER 2019.
