Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research ( JIPMER )

            Jawaharlal Institute Of Post Graduate Medical Education & Research, popularly known as JIPMER 2019is an institute of national importance under Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. It is one of the medical entrance of highest importance in India. The JIPMER MBBS 2019 exam will be conducted on 2nd June 2019. JIPMER 2019is a computer-based online entrance test conducted for MBBS programme, across various cities, enlisted in the official site. There are two college campuses of JIPMER, one in Pondicherry and other in Karaikal. JIPMER has two campuses - the main campus is located in Pondicherry; the other campus is at Karaikal. There are a total of 200 seats under JIPMER 2019 UG exam - 150 seats at the Pondicherry campus and 50 seats at the Karaikal campus.

            Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Pondicherry (JIPMER) under Government of India since the year 1956, is one of the leading Medical Institutions of India, whereas JIPMER has started its JIPMER Karaikal, from the academic session 2016-17 with a yearly intake of 50 students. There are no seats available through AIPMT/NEET or AIIMS to get into JIPMER. One needs to clear JIPMER 2019only for this. The entrance examination is held once a year in June in Pondicherry, Chennai, Vijayawada, Hyderabad, Delhi, Kolkata, Thiruvananthapuram and other metropolitan cities for admission to the MBBS course that commences from July of the same year.

Important Documents to be produced during JIPMER MBBS 2018 Counselling

  1. Certificate of the exam last appeared by the applicant and attested photo copy of the same.
  2. Mark sheet of the exam last appeared by the applicant and attested photo copy of the same.
  3. Proof of date of birth, class 10th certificate and attested photo copy of the same.
  4. Character certificate and Transfer certificate from the Institute last attended and attested photo copy of the same.
  5. Proof of residence issued by relevant authority who is above the rank of Tahsildar and attested photo copy of the same.
  6. Hall ticket of JIPMER MBBS 2018 and attested photo copy of the same.
  7. Category certificate in case of OBC/ SC/ST and attested photo copy of the same.
  8. Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates should produce the required certificate as per the format in the Annexure along with last three years Income Tax returns of the parents.
  9. For Puducherry residents, the Residence Certificate and attested photo copy of the same.
  10. Medical Certificate for OPH applicant and attested photo copy of the same.
  11. 4 passport size pictures recently.
