H H Maharani Sethu Parvathi Bai N S S College for Women has adopted as its mission and goal the empowerment of women by providing them with holistic education. This helps to form character, strengthen the will and expand the intellect –all of which are required for self reliance.Educating women means Educating families which leads to Socio-economic progress of entire community.

The Principal acts as the central coordinating agency that links the management, the staff, the students, the University and the Government. There is a general academic committee to formulate the annual academic calendar in accordance with the university calendar issued every year. The committee monitors all curricular, co-curricular and extra curricular activities in the campus.

The Principal is the chief executive and is assisted by the college council which is an advisory body. At the end of each academic year the Principal makesa detailed appraisal of the performance of the teaching and non teaching staff. The Principal carries out development programmes for the staff with the help and concurrence of the management. Fees – tuition fee, examination fee, and the like – is the chief source of income. It is collected and promptly remitted in the University and government funds in strict accordance with the rules in this regard.
