St.Michael’s College was established in 1967 at Cherthala. The college is one of the renowned colleges in Alleppey district in Kerala offering under graduate and post graduate programs, accredited by NAAC and is affiliated to Kerala University. The college grants educational service to the poor underprivileged and downtrodden in the society is freely accessed and widely appreciated by the people, especially from Alleppey and Kerala. The institution has successfully attained accreditation with B+ grade from National Assessment & Accreditation Council (NAAC).

The College aims at delivering quality education for the integrated development of the personality of each individual student entrusted to its care. The proper integration of the theoretical knowledge land practical training which the University education envisage is modulated by moral values so that a homogeneous society upholding faith in God, democratic values and dignity of the human individual may emerge.
